Steve aged 12

History

Steve started young in the live events industry pushing boxes around for rock and roll bands. Despite having a degree in Marine Biology, his passion lay in touring with bands on the college circuit, which was brilliant fun! When at last he decided to get a more serious job he began working at a conference venue, handling loads of technical work, from unions and political parties to young farmer’s weekends.

Steve felt his natural next step would be to work for a production company and so headed up the technical production department at West End Studios. It was then that Steve worked globally on many corporate productions, conferences, charity events and award ceremonies – also where he first met Ben. In 2003 he thought it would make a lot of sense to set up his own company and so LXFX Ltd was born – a specialist audio visual and live event production agency.

Since leaving school and achieving two A-levels in Art and Interior Design, Ben went on to study at ‘Hastings College of Arts and Technology’, completing a three year course in Exhibition design. In 1987 he joined West End Studios as a junior designer, progressing through the ranks over a period of 15 years – some achievement these days! In 2002 Ben decided to set up his own company, BB Scene, specialising in custom built exhibition stands. In 2009 BB Scene merged with LXFX Ltd. headed up by the lovely Steve.

and….flippin’ heck where has that time gone?!
